Rites Monday For Mrs. Mabel Plager
Services were Monday, January 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ferree Funeral Home in Grundy Center for Mrs. Mabel Plager, age 92, who passed away Friday, January 12, at the Countryside Nursing Home in Grundy Center.
The pastor in charge was Rev. A. Harold Sparks. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Grundy Center.
Mrs. Plager was born April 13, 1875, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Will and Zeruiah Young Hundley.
She married William A. Plager on August 9, 1900, at Lead, South Dakota. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dan McCormack, and one son, Ralph, both of Grundy Center; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Plager was educated in Iowa, and lived in the Grundy Center area since 1933. She graduated from the Grundy schools and was a member of the Methodist church. She was a charter member of the Woman's Relief Corps.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother.
Casketbearers were Eugene Plager, Francis Winslow, William Price, Francis Persinger, Dale Bee and Milton Behrens.
