Rites Monday For Mrs. A. F. Bertram

Funeral services were held at First Presbyterian church Monday afternoon for Mrs. A. F. Bertram, 51, of Grundy Center, who passed away Friday morning, November 17, at 4 o'clock in the Grundy County Memorial hospital. She had been ill for several months with cancer.

Rev. Duane Heap officiated at the service. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery. The Ferree Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cora Lenore Chilson was born August 22, 1916, to Cornelius and Bertha Chilson at Towner, North Dakota. She was married to Alton F. Bertram at Montevideo, Minn., March 8, 1942. The family had lived at Parkersburg and Aplington before moving to Grundy Center five years ago.

Mrs. Bertram was a devoted mother and wife. She is survived by her widower and ten children, Mrs. Gordon (Elizabeth) Reints, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Catherwood, of Grundy Center; Mrs. Terry (Ruth) Reagan, San Pedro, California; Roger and Terrance in the U.S. Navy, and Sarah, William, Rebecca, Richard and Sandra at home, also 9 grandchildren and one brother, Martin Chilson of Phoenix, Arizona.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one daughter, one sister and three half-brothers.
