Services Friday For Verda Lamb

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Miss Verda Lamb at the Ferree Funeral home. The services were conducted by Rev. Paul Heiniger, pastor of the Baptist church. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

The pallbearers were H. K. Wilson, John Paterni, Frank Mamminga, Del Lawless, Warren Feller and LeRoy Vanderwicken. Music was by Mrs. Arnold Reynolds and Mrs. Laura Trevillyan.

Miss Lamb died in Woodlawn Convalescent Home in Waterloo, January 13th. Pneumonia was the immediate cause of her death. She had been in failing health during the past year. She would have been 79 years old had she lived until March 6th.

Verda Lamb was born in Pleasantville, Ohio, March 6th, 1881. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lamb. She spent most of her life in Grundy Center. For many years she served as a clerk in Grundy Center stores. In late years she did work as a seamstress at her home. She made many friends in the community during her many years of faithful service.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lottie Smith, Seattle; three brothers; Purl from Lake Park, Wesley from White, South Dakota, and Ray from Mason City; one nephew, R. J. Beebee, Portland, Oregon. The brothers were here for the funeral service.
