Mrs. Philbrick, Former Grundy Resident, Dies

Mrs. Annetta Philbrick, 89, a former Grundy Center resident, died Saturday, Oct. 8, at St. Francis hospital, Freeport, Ill. For a number of years past, Mrs. Philbrick had resided at Forreston, where she was born March 31, 1866, the oldest child of the late John and Sarah McFarland, a brother and sister having predeceased her.

As Annetta McFarland, she was married on Dec. 30, 1890, to Floyd E. Philbrick of Grundy Center, Ia., who died January 25, 1893.

She is survived by her son, Judge Floyd Philbrick of Cedar Rapids; by a nephew, Solon B. Hammond of Adeline, Ill.; a grand-nephew, Wayne Hammond, and two great-grand-nieces of Forreston, Ill. Mrs. Philbrick had been a member of Malta Chapter O.E.S. for nearly 30 years.

Funeral services were held at Forreston, Ill., with interment at Grundy Center, by the side of her husband.
