R. E. Watson Dead

R. E. Watson died at his home in this city, Monday, September 5th, 1910. Death was caused by a stroke of paralysis which he received Saturday afternoon.

Robert Emmett Watson, was born in Genesco county, New York, May 29, 1841. He came to Wisconsin when a boy, and then to Iowa and Grundy county in 1860. He married Mary V. Long, Dec., 28th, 1871. To this union were born three children, two boys and one girl; both the boys preceded their in death, leaving Miss Edith as the only remaining living child.

Nine years ago the family moved to Grundy Center. Mr. Watson joined the Cumberland Presbyterian church when a child, and after his marriage united with the Methodist Episcopal church, of which he has been a faithful and consistent member until his death.

There are two brothers and three sisters living.

The funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. F. Black, and interment was made in the Clark cemetery.
