Wendell Bloxham Dies In M'town Hospital
Wendell Bloxham, 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bloxham, living near Dike, died at the hospital in Marshalltown last Thursday morning. He was afflicted with septicemia. He was taken to the hospital for treatment two weeks before his death.
Wendell Craten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bloxham, was born Dec. 4, 1937, at Grundy Center, and died at 6:30 a.m. at Deaconess hospital, Marshalltown, Thursday, March 26, after an illness of slightly more than two weeks.
Wendell was an attendant at the Methodist church Sunday School in Dike and had taken part in the Christmas program of that school.
The immediate relatives who mourn his going are his father and mother, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Abels, and Mrs. Lottie Bloxham, in addition to a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at First Presbyterian church and were largely attended. Rev. Oliver Stevenson was in charge. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.
