Former Grundy Woman Dies in Hospital
Mrs. John Dorsey, formerly Louise Johnson, for many years a resident of Grundy Center, died at the hospital in Vinton Monday after a long illness. She was 40 years old.
Funeral services will be at Vinton today. The body will be brought to Grundy Center this afternoon for burial.
Louise Rhea Johnson was born June 2, 1902, at Thorr, a daughter of John and Carrie Larson Johnson. On Oct. 4, 1929, she was married at Marshalltown to Mr. Dorsey, who survives her. She lived in Grundy Center until 1927 when she moved to Marshalltown for three years. The rest of her life was spent in Vinton and Shellsburg. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church.
One daughter, Minnie Claassen of Grundy Center, survives. One brother, Alfred John of Grundy Center, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Eversole of Dayton, O., and Mrs. James Oulman of Waterloo, also survive. One sister preceded her in death.
