After suffering nearly two weeks from appendicitis Mattie Ann Sweet died Oct. 12, 1900, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Sweet. Deceased was born June 5, 1884. She was a bright, enterprising girl, loved by all who knew her. Some four weeks ago she was kick by a cow causing considerable pain terminating in the disease which caused her death. Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. W. H. Clement of Conrad, and the remains laid to rest in the Conrad cemetery.
