Goldie Wical Services Held

Goldie Wical, of Nora Springs, formerly of Grundy Center, passed away Wednesday, June 2 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City having attained the age of 50 years.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 5 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center at 1:30 p.m.

Goldie was born August 5, 1942 in Iowa City the daughter of Earl M. and Goldie Frieda (Weise) Wical Sr. She was a resident of various nursing homes since 1967, and most recently made her home at Liberty Square Care Center in Nora Springs.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Katherine Ahlhelm; two brothers, Charles H. and Donald G. Wical, and by one infant brother.

Survivors include two brothers, Shephard Wical of Cucamonga, CA, and Earl M. Wical Jr. of Grundy Center; three sisters, Caroline Hayes and Elsie Mallett, both of Mesa, AZ, and Rose Mary Kennedy of Grundy Center.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
