Anna Krull Services Held
Anna Krull, of Grundy Center, passed away Saturday, June 5, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center of natural causes, having attained the age of 88 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 7 at Pleasant Valley Reformed Church in rural Holland with Pastor Dick Kuiper officiating.
Pallbearers were Jeff Hockemeyer, Kevin Hockemeyer, Brad Hockemeyer, Eric Krull, Michael Krull and Dan Morris.
Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Anna was born April 3, 1905 in Lincoln Township, Grundy county, the daughter of Herman and Reka (Lindaman) Meyer. She attended Colfax Township country school.
On November 14, 1931, she was united in marriage to George Krull at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in rural Holland. Anna and George farmed the family farm until 1966 when they moved to Fern. In 1983, they made their home in Grundy Center.
Anna was a member of Pleasant Valley Reformed Church in rural Holland. She belonged to Evening Star Circle and to RCWM (Reformed Church Women's Ministries).
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Eldrich, Onno, and Herman Meyer; two sisters, Tillie Schoorman and JoAnn Basness; and by one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband George; two sons, Don and wife Betty of Cedar Falls, and Roger and wife Barbara of Eldora; one daughter, Neva Hockemeyer and husband Glen of Holland; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Reka Gronewold of Wellsburg.
The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
