Esther Hanisch Miller Rites At Reinbeck

Mrs. J. Harold (Esther) Miller, of rural Reinbeck, died Thursday, May 27, at the Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. Services were held May 30 at the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck with burial in the Morrison Cemetery.

Esther was born December 6, 1909 in Grundy Center to Rudolph and Cecelia Schrafel Hanisch. She graduated from the Grundy Center High School in 1928, attended the Grundy College, and taught in the rural schools of the county.

She was united in marriage to J. Harold Miller March 12, 1936.

Survivors include one son, Walter H., one step-daughter, Marilyn Brookshire of Yachats, OR, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Evelyn Rolston of Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, William, Ernest and Harold Hanisch and one sister, Ada Lorenzen.
