Mrs. Lillie Albright Died Tuesday
Mrs. Clarence (Lillie M.) Albright, 79, died Tuesday morning, July 22 at 10:30 o'clock in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center. She had been a patient there since July 12 following a stroke.
Funeral services will be held at the Ferree-Oltmann Funeral Home Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. J. C. Ford, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Mrs. Laura Trevillyan will provide organ selections and will accompany Merle Mamminga who will sing "In the Garden".
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mark, James, John, and Ronald Albright, Jerry Cummings and Michael Swift. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
Lillie M. was born January 25, 1896, at Leavenworth, Kans., the daughter of Malden and Anna Smith Purvis. She was united in marriage to Clarence I. Albright on March 11, 1914 in Grundy Center. They had spent all of their married life here. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 9, 1968. Mrs. Albright was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Robert of Wood, Wis., Amos E. of Grundy Center and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Isabel) Cummings of Cedar Falls, one son-in-law, Joe Swift of Iowa City and one daughter-in-law, Ruth Albright, Grundy Center; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son Russell, daughter Lois Swift, two brothers, George and Roy Purvis and one great-grandchild.
The Ferree-Oltmann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
