Monday morning at about 10 o'clock while in the rear of the Canfield harness shop Harry became unconscious. Dr. Carpenter was immediately called and he was at once removed to his home in the northeast part of town, where every thing was done for him that could be done, but he remained unconscious to the end which came at 9:30 Tuesday forenoon.
Harry suffered a great deal the past two or three years from stomach trouble which finally ended in diabetes, which it is understood was the immediate cause of his death.
Harry was a quiet unassuming fellow, ever ready with a pleasant word and a helping hand and was greatly liked by those who knew him best, and will be greatly missed especially in the home circle.

Through respect to Harry the business places were closed during the funeral services.
Those from out of town who were here to attend the last sad rites were Mrs. Robt. Scotthorn and children of Fairbury, Nebr., Mrs. Chris Knoope of Traer, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Verhey of Orchard, Iowa.
