Mrs. Wm. Quinn Passes Away

Mrs. Wm. Quinn, one of Grundy Center's pioneer settlers, died at her home Saturday, Sept. 7th, at 8:30 o'clock, after four weeks of suffering from the effects of pleurisy, which later developed into cardiac asthma.

Mrs. Quinn was born in Killarney, Ireland, June 14, 1835 and came to America in 1855. A few years later she married Wm. Quinn, of Trempealeau, Wis., at which place they lived several years. They moved to Carroll county, Ill., where they lived five years. In the fall of 1875 they, with their family, moved to Grundy Center where they have made their home up to the time of her death.

Mr. Quinn died in the fall of 1893.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her own immediate family, the entire community in which she lived.

Auntie Quinn, as she was familiarly known, was a kind and loving mother and neighbor, always ready with a smile to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

It is with a great degree of satisfaction that all who survive may look back on the life of this beautiful character with only the pleasantest memories. The sorrow being relieved by the comforting prospect of a blessed reunion in the bright future, of God's enfolding providence.
