Bonnie D. Hulne, 76

Bonnie D. Hulne, 76, of Grundy Center, died at her home on October 13.

Mass of Christian Burial was held October 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grundy Center. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

She was born on March 17, 1925 in Hudson, the daughter of Perl H. and Hazel A. (East) Gibson. At the age of 3 she moved to Grundy Center where she graduated from high school in 1943. On August 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Joseph W. Hulne. She worked in the restaurant business as an owner of Hulne Maid-Rite Care and Bonnie's Place and later worked the lunch counter at Manly's Drug Store. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lady's Order of Forresters and the AMVET Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, macrame and bowling.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Weber of Grundy Center, Pamella (Timothy) Schmidt of Grundy Center, and Patricia (Charlie Roth) Hitchings of Grundy Center; sons, James (Paulette Trewin) Hulne of New Hampton, Joseph (Susan) Hulne of Altoona, Jerry (Margaret) Hulne of Pardyville, WI and Jeffrey Hulne of Des Moines; brothers, Edwin (Caroline) Gibson of Grundy Center and Robert (Donna) Gibson of Greeley, CO; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Victor Gibson; and sister, Mary Harper.
