Mrs. Barbara Hummel Dead

Mrs. Barbara Hummel died at the home of Miss Ostergaard at Dike at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Death resulted from general debility due to old age. She had been in poor health during the past year. For several months she was taken care of in the Ostergaard home at Dike.

Funeral services will be held in the Catholic church in Grundy Center Thursday morning with the local pastor, Rev. Father Forster, in charge. Burial will be by the side of the husband in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Hummel was a native of Germany. She resided in Grundy Center during the most active part of her lifetime.

Surviving are one son, Charley, who lives in Chicago, and one brother, Dr. Andrew Hummel, from Dyersville.
