Robert Catherwood Dies At Ind. Hospital

Robert Catherwood died Tuesday of last week at the state hospital at Independence of a cerebral vascular. He was 68 years old.

The body was brought to the Ferree Funeral Home in Grundy Center where the rosary was recited Wednesday evening.

Funeral services were Thursday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Grundy Center. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mr. Catherwood was a native of Ireland. He came to this country and to Grundy county as a young man. He never married. He made his home in Grundy Center until he was taken to the state hospital a few years ago.

Surviving are three brothers, Michael and Dan, Grundy Center, and Hugh at Kansas City. There is one surviving sister, Mrs. Catherine O'Brien, Linwood, California. A brother, Pat, was killed in the armed service overseas during World War I.
