The remains of Augustus J. Belknap were brought here from Marshalltown last Friday and placed beside those of his wife in Fairview cemetery. Rev. Mr. Belknap was born at Northfield, Iowa, June 6, 1842, and died at Marshalltown Sept. 9, 1902, aged 60 years. He was pastor of the Congregational church at this place from 1880 to 1882. His son, Thomas Belknap, and daughter, Mrs. L. L. Beckmore and husband and Rev. Anthony of Farmington, Iowa, accompanied the remains to their last resting place.
