Verdeene Critser, 85, of Conrad, died June 8, at Oakview Nursing Home. Funeral services were June 11 at Conrad First Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Conrad Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.

Verdeene was born July 23, 1918, the daughter of Fred T. and Clara M. (Crecelius) Holman. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1936. She was married to Nels Clinton Critser on January 1, 1940. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters; a sister; a brother; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
