Leona M. Anderson, 76, of Holland, passed away on January 30 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital under the care of the Grundy County Hospice. Funeral services were held February 2 at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the Holland Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Leona was born on June 4, 1927, in Geneva, the daughter of Peter Edzard and Etta (Venega) Brower. She attended Geneva schools. She was united in marriage to Warren Anderson on August 14, 1945, at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Leona helped Warren on their dairy farm for many years. She was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the women's organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Chris Sonnenberg; a son-in-law, Kevin Mennen; two step-brothers, Benjamin and Delbert Sonnenberg; and a step-sister, Helen Jordan.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; daughter, Betty Jean and her husband David Kobes of Belmond; daughter, Marcia Kay and her husband Thomas Flaherty of Cedar Falls; son Donn W. and his wife Pam J. Anderson of Wellsburg; and Barbara Ann and her husband Russ Buseman of Wellsburg; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and a sister LaVonne "Bonnie" and her husband Dick Conrad of Grundy Center.
