Ethel Louise Kluver, 90, of Grundy Center, died January 16 at Parkview Manor in Reinbeck. Funeral services were January 19 at the Chapel of the Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center. A memorial fund is being established.

Born on September 19, 1913, in Eldora, Ethel was the daughter of Harvey and Dena (Boike) Hutzel. She grew up in the Eldora area and received her education there. On June 24, 1939, she was united in marriage to Henry Kluver and the couple made their home in Grundy Center where Ethel worked as a nurse's aide for 20 years at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital before retiring in 1959. Henry Kluver died on December 26, 1972. Ethel had been a resident at Parkview Manor since August 2000.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Pauline Klettke; one granddaughter, Sheila Klettke; one grandson, Rick Wood; two brothers; and five sisters.

Surviving is her daughter, Janet Wood and husband Richard of Reinbeck; one granddaughter; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
