Edna C. Mast, 87, of Grundy Center, died December 28 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services were December 31 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Edna was born February 28, 1916, the daughter of Robert and Bonnie (Hamilton) Boss. She moved with her family to the Reinbeck area at the age of 11. On May 14, 1938, she was united in marriage to Gale L. Mast and they farmed near Reinbeck. Edna and Gale moved to Grundy Center in 1948. She enjoyed quilting and reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy (William) Sager of Grundy Center and Jane (Thomas) Blohm of Reinbeck; sons, Darl Mast of Manhattan, KS and Leon Mast of New Berlin, WI, sisters, Nellie Boss of Cedar Falls and Florence (Gene) Krieger of New Mexico; brothers, Henry (Ruth) Boss of Washington State, Paul (Deloris) Boss of Arkansas, Donald (Florence) Boss of Nashua, Bill (Lola) Boss of Charles City and Bob (Pat) Boss of California, seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale on August 20, 1998; sisters, Mary Bevin and Eva Boss; brother, Dale Boss; and her parents.
