Jacob Lindaman Services Held
Jacob B. Lindaman, 76, of Wellsburg, passed away Tuesday, June 24, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, rural Wellsburg, with Rev. Ron Fisher officiating. Burial was in the St. Peter's Church Cemetery.
Jacob was born May 20, 1921, in German Township, Grundy County, the son of Hie J. and Hilda Tjabring Lindaman. He attended German Township School. He served from 1942-45 in the U.S. Army during WWII as a truck driver in Italy, France, Germany and Africa.
He was married to Anna Krull on November 21, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He had been employed as a farmer.
He was a member of Aplington AmVets Post #102.
He was preceded in death by a son, Virgil, and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; a daughter, Eileen Janssen and her husband, Russell of Ackley; a daughter-in-law, Debby Lindaman of Cedar Falls; and 2 granddaughters, Jill and Lori Janssen.
Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home, Ackley, was in charge of the arrangements.
