Riebke VanLoh Passed Away Sunday, Services Held On Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at the Van Loh home and later at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed church for Riebke Van Loh, who died Sunday at his home after a long illness. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Van Loh was born on January 4, 1892 on a farm in German township in Grundy county. He was united in marriage thirty-five years ago to Lena Lindaman and farmed in the vicinity of Ackley since that time.
Surviving are his widow and one daughter Johanna at home, as well as his aged mother, Mrs. John Van Loh Sr. Also surviving are his half-brother, Jacob Kurtzleben of Woden and four brothers who are Jans of Ashton, Iowa; Louie of Wellsburg, Iowa, Menno and John both of Ackley. Two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Janssen of Marion, South Dakota and Mrs. Jake DeVries of Ackley also survive the deceased.
