Mrs. Tom Kruse Dies On Sunday

Mrs. Tom Kruse, who spent the greater share of her life in the vicinity of Wellsburg, died Sunday evening at her home in Parkersburg. She had been sick a long time. She was 74 years old.

Funeral services were held at her home at 1:30 Wednesday and later at the Congregational church in Parkersburg. Burial was in the Evangelical Reformed cemetery at Wellsburg.

Mrs. Kruse was born in Illinois February 27, 1878. She came to Wellsburg with her parents when she was a small child. In 1896 she was married to Tom Kruse. The wedding took place at Sibley. The couple began housekeeping on a farm near Wellsburg and later they farmed nearer Parkersburg.

When they retired from the farm a few years ago, they moved to Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one grandson, three brothers and one sister. Surviving are four sons: Albert, of Wellsburg; Corniel, Shell Rock; Peter and Harvey, Parkersburg. One daughter, Annie, Parkersburg, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive.
