Andrew Hinrichs Dies Suddenly; Services Held Tues.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the East Friesland Presbyterian church of Ackley for Andrew Hinrichs, who passed away suddenly Saturday morning of a heart attack. The Rev. C. F. Siemsen officiated at the services. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Andrew Hinrichs, son of Geerd and Mathilda Johnson Hinrichs, was born August 2, 1878 in Grundy County. Since his childhood days, he lived in Hardin County all his life, first on a farm near Steamboat Rock and in 1904, he moved with his parents, to Cleves. After his parents passed away, he continued to live in his home in Cleves until about three years ago when he became a resident of the Presbyterian Home in Ackley.

He became a member of the East Friesland Presbyterian church of Ackley on August 3, 1902. To the very last, he showed a keen interest in the life and work of his church and was most faithful in attending the services.

He is survived by two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Anna Janssen of Hampton, Mrs. Alice Knock of Grundy Center and Sam Hinrichs of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father passed away in 1924 at the age of 84 years and his mother passed away in 1929 at the age of 74; three sisters, Mrs. Harmke Ludeman, Mrs. Bessie Ludemann and Mrs. Martha Kruse, and five half-brothers.
