Services Held For Christina Janssen Tuesday Afternoon

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church for Mrs. Christina Janssen, who passed away Thursday, July 14, in Spooner, Wisconsin at the age of 85. The Rev. C. F. Siemsen conducted the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Janssen was born in Germany and came to the United States with her family at the age of six months. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Koolman, settle at Ackley where she grew up. She married Martin Janssen and they made their home in Cleves. Mr. Janssen died in 1913. Mrs. Janssen continued to live in Cleves until 1943, when she moved to Spooner to make her home with her son, John.

Preceding her in death were her husband; a sister; and a grandson.

She is survived by a son, John of Spooner, Wis.; a grandson, Dr. Martin Janssen of Adams, Wis. and two great-grandsons.
