Jake B. Janssen Dies Suddenly in Hospital Saturday

Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the West Friesland Presbyterian Church for Jake B. Janssen, who died suddenly at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo. Prayer services for the family were held in the church basement preceding the funeral. William Seybert, a former student pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Jake B. Janssen, son of Ben and Lucy Janssen, was born April 3, 1907 on the farm where he and his wife have been living. In 1929, he was married to Hannah Kreimeyer and they established their home on the farm on which he was born. He was a member of the West Friesland Church and served as trustee for several years.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Ethel Mae (Mrs. Neil) Knoll and four grandchildren; three brothers, Henry and Gerald of Ackley and John of Geneva; and one sister, Mrs. Cornie Mooi of Ackley.
