Death of John Bruns

Died at his home six miles north of Wellsburg at 8 p.m. Sunday evening John Bruns aged 53 years. Mr. Bruns was born in Loquard, Germany. Emigrating to this country in 1890 he settled on a farm near Wellsburg. Prominent as an organizer of the German Reformed church here he became a member of the congregation and remained a faithful and tireless worker in the same to the end. Kind and indulgent as husband and parent, an ever obliging neighbor he leaves to mourn his loss besides a wife and four children, two boys and two girls, a large circle of sorrowing friends. Funeral services were held at the German Reformed church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Theilken officiating.
