Death of Grace Beving

Wellsburg Herald: Margaret, known as Grace, the 14 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Beving, died at the hospital at Marshalltown, Saturday, June 8, from complications arising from scarlet fever.

Her illness was of very short duration. She had seemingly recovered to apparent health from the attack of scarlet fever, when complications of a serious nature developed. She was at once taken to the hospital, and every possible effort made to prevail over the attack, but with out avail. There seemed to be no possible aid to be given. Funeral services were held at the Wellsburg Church Tuesday, June 11th, and interment was made in the Wellsburg cemetery.

The pall bearers were Henry A. Geerdes, H. F. Weitkamp, J. L. Lutterman, H. J. Frerichs, and John Snittjer Jr.

Among those present from abroad for the funeral were Rev. F. J. Beving of George, Mrs. Fred Behrends of George, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Arends of Britt, Mr. John Boomgarden of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Warren Lewis and Mrs. L. Price, Rock Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. L. Luitjens of Grundy Center, John and Arthur Beving of Pleasant Valley township, Mr. and Mrs. John Luitjens and Henry Luitjens of Grundy Center.
