Services Held For Beverly Sharp

Beverly Jean Sharp passed away Thursday, December 17, 1992, at Hearthstone Manor, Medford, Oregon, having attained the age of 65 years, and 23 days.

Beverly was born November 27, 1927, in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of George and Violet (Winters) Kostland. She was educated in Traer, graduating from Traer High School in 1946. She then attended Grinnell College in Grinnell for one year.

On June 25, 1948, Beverly was united in marriage to Martin L. Sharp in Traer. Beverly and Martin made their home in Fargo, ND, for four years, then moved to Grundy Center until 1976. They then moved to Miles City, Montana, until 1983. After Martin's death, Beverly moved to Phoenix, Arizona. In 1988 she settled in Medford, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin in 1983; and one daughter, Jana.

Survivors include one son, Michael and wife Pat Sharp of Pender, Nebraska; two daughters, Marta Kay and husband Rod Wolthoff of Wetumpka, Alabama, and Cynda and husband Lee Rickerts of Windsor, California; and 6 grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, December 22, 1992, at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center, Iowa, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. George E. Gibson officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center. A memorial fund has been established. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, is in charge of professional services.
