Rites Held For Wilton Whorrall
Wilton C. Whorrall, 70, of Ackley, died Saturday, October 24, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls of heart failure.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Beaman, with Rev. Robert Shreve officiating.
Pallbearers were John Kaput, Gasper Anania, Robert Mulcahy, Rodney Mulcahy, Bruce Bodie, and Robert Malechek.
Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery, Beaman.
Wilton was born on September 27, 1922, the son of Charles and Hazel Wallace Whorrall. He graduated from Beaman High School in 1940.
On September 7, 1947, he was united in marriage to Betty L. Mulcahy in State Center. He attended Beaman United Methodist Church and currently drove semi for the Johnsrud Transport, Des Moines and was also a farmer. He had owned a Beverage Wholesalership in Marshalltown and Winona, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Ackley; a daughter, Marianne Klein of Ackley; 1 grandson, Wilton Harrison Klein; and 2 nephews, Larry and Roger Mulcahy, who made their home with the Whorralls while they attended school.
Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad was in charge of the arrangements.
