Doris Mae Miller of Springfield, Missouri passed away at Christian Health Care on March 14, 2013. She was born to Herbert L. Stover and Bina J. Easter Stover on December 13, 1924 in Marshall County, Iowa. She graduated from Green Mountain High School and Central Business College. She worked at the Lenox Furnace Company until her marriage to Leo V. Miller on May 7, 1949 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Leo, three sons, Jerry Miller, Independence, KY, Lynn Miller, Ames, IA, Greg Miller, Athens, GA, a daughter, Debra Miller, Springfield, MO, a great niece, Gina Copeland, Carlinville IL, her sister, Dorothy Rosine, Conrad, IA, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

After moving to Springfield in 1972, Doris was employed by the Assemblies of God Headquarters until she retired in 1988. She spent her retirement years enjoying flowers, birds and her pets. She and Leo traveled when health permitted. Her personal faith in God was evidenced by the love and care she shared with her family, friends and acquaintances.

A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate her life is being planned for May 4, 2013. A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 at the Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 East Seminole, Springfield, Mo. Memorial contributions can be made to Convoy of Hope, Springfield, Mo. Inurnment will be at the Conrad Cemetery in Conrad, Iowa and is entrusted to the Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes.
