Betty Lue Boswell Krier, 57, of Conrad died unexpectedly Saturday, December 28, 2013 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Alice Church of God in rural Conrad. A memorial fund is being established in her name. The Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.

Betty was born May 2, 1956 in Marshalltown, IA to Bernice and Jack Boswell. She was later educated in the Beaman-Conrad school and attended Marshalltown Community College. She was employed at various places throughout the years as a cook at the nursing home in Grundy Center and later at Casey’s and the Mini-Mart in Conrad. She was a member of the Alice Church of God. Betty was devoted to her family and anyone in need and especially loved her cats.

Betty will be missed by two children; her daughter, Amy (Stephen) Wright of Ankeny, IA and her son, Paul Krier of Fort Dodge; two granddaughters, Zoe and Ava Smith of Ankeny, IA; her mother, Bernice Dudley Boswell of Conrad; two sisters, Bonnie (Clyde) Jorgensen of Iowa City, IA and Peggy (Joe) Kriegel of Des Moines, IA; a brother, Steve Boswell of Union, IA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her son, Nathan Krier; her father, Jack Boswell; two sisters, Mary Alice Glenney and Darlene Edwards; and one niece, Denise.
