Services Held For Holger Dall

Holger Dall was born February 10, 1910, in Grundy County, Iowa, the son of James and Jensine Schmidt Dall. He passed away Saturday, May 11, 1991, at the Long Term Care Unit of Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa, having attained the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 1 day.

Holger was educated at Cloverdale School, and worked on various farms in the trucking business from 1936 to 1942. On October 5, 1940, he was united in marriage to Wilma Rottmeyer at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Dike until 1942 when they moved to the James Dall farm near Dike. In 1975 Holger and Wilma moved to Reinbeck. Holger did custom farming for many years. He was a member of Fredsville Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant sister.

Survivors include his wife Wilma; two sisters: Mrs. Albert (Christine) Olmstead, and Mrs. Milford (Ella) Snow, both of Cedar Falls; five nieces; one nephew; and one aunt: Nita Dall of Cedar Falls.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14, at Fredsville Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Cedar Falls at 10 a.m. Pastor Don Benson officiated.

Pallbearers were Joe Davis, David Roberts, Merlyn Petersen, Larry Bruhn, Delmar Sherwood and Kenny Anderson.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

The Dike Funeral Chapel, Dike, was in charge of arrangements.
