Services Friday For Ona Stover

Ona M. Stover, 94, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of Dike, passed away Monday, February 25.

Services will be held on Friday, March 1, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, in Cedar Falls. Friends may call Thursday, February 28, from 9-9, at Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, where family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Ona, the daughter of Howard and Ida Strickler Sherbon, was born on November 26, 1896.

She was united in marriage to Guy H. Stover on April 3, 1917, in Conrad.

Ona was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Jesse, and Cecil; one brother, John; two sisters, Lillian Smith, and Jessie Stevens; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, Frances, of Dike, Guy H. of St. Petersburg, FL. Jaye of Sunnyvale, CA, and Virgil (Jim), of Alburn, WA; four daughters, Lois Lampman, of Waterloo, Evelyn Lee, of Tehachapi, CA, Dora Pence, of Newton, and Darlene Grapp, of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Merle Sherbon, of Polk City, and Bob (Bud) of Lancaster, CA; one sister, Evah Price, of Conrad; 31 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
