Rites Held For Gladys Freese

Services held for Gladys Noel Freese, 66, of 315 Washington Street, Cedar Falls, were held Saturday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. in Cedar Falls. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. She died of cancer on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

Gladys Freese was born on Aug. 20, 1923, in Grundy Center, the daughter of William and Tillie Weseman Noel.

She married Wendo Freese on Aug. 13, 1946, in Waterloo.

She had been employed at Mitze Cleaners Company for 25 years and with Varsity Cleaners until her retirement in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joe and George of Grundy Center, and two sisters Jeanette, Mrs. Louis Hull, of Oelwein and Leona, Mrs. D. J. Schneider, of Cedar Falls.

She is survived by sister Wilma, Mrs. Richard Freese, of Dike; a sister-in-law, Flora Noel, of Grundy Center; and nieces and nephews.
