Louise Connell Services Held

Funeral services for Louise Connell, 76, were held Saturday, March 4, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grundy Center, with Father Edgar Kolfenbach officiating.

Organist was Rita Fisher.

Casket bearers were Warren King, Herschel Edwards, Dick Rolston, Richard Ewalt, Jim Molloy, and Jim Sharp.

Mrs. Connell was born Dec. 14, 1912, in New York, N.Y. to Louis J. and Johanna Cejke Prochazka. She came to Iowa with her parents and family when she was a young girl.

She graduated from Marshalltown schools in 1930 and was employed with Northwestern Bell for 28 years in Marshalltown until her retirement in 1971.

She married Leo P. Connell, June 1, 1941, in Marshalltown and then moved to Conrad with her husband.

Mrs. Connell was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grundy Center, Marshalltown Hospital Auxiliary, Telephone Pioneers, Ladies Elks of Marshalltown and the Mid-Circle Club, Conrad.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, her husband Aug. 27, 1985, and one sister.

Survivors include one daughter, Nicola A. Connell, Colfax, Calif.; and one sister, Ann (Mrs. John) Dickkut, Marshalltown.
