Rites Held For Gladys Koch
Gladys S. Koch, 74, of Conrad, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center, in Marshalltown.
Services were held Friday, December 21, at Conrad United Methodist Church with Rev. David Crow and Rev. Kerry Jech officiating the service.
Casket bearers were Michael Koch, Melvin Koch Jr., Matthew Koch, Martin Koch, Steven Koch, and Michael Neurouth, Brant Olson, Jeff King, and Allan Blum.
Interment took place in the Conrad Cemetery.
Gladys Koch, daughter of Bert and Sophie Bern Harders was born on June 4, 1916, in rural Lincoln. She received her education in country schools. She was employed by Cooper Manufacturing in Marshalltown from 1946-1948.
On February 21, 1948, she was united in marriage to Raymond Koch in Grundy Center. They remained in the Conrad area after their marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, LeRoy; three sisters, and one brother at the age of ten.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Raymond; two sons, Melvin F. Koch and Ronald E. Koch both of Conrad; one sister, Irene Busch of Waterloo; two brothers Marvin Harders of Lincoln, Clarence Harders of Cedar Falls; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad was in charge of arrangements.
