Mae Kolthoff Rites Held

Funeral services for Mae Kolthoff, 70, of Ackley, were held Friday, July 6, 1990, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ackley Christian Reformed Church, Ackley. Rev. Floyd deBoer officiated.

Interment was in the Christian Reformed Cemetery, Wellsburg.

Mae Kolthoff was born on November 13, 1919, at Steamboat Rock, IA. She was the daughter of William and Gertie Murra Sanders. She passed away in her home on July 4.

She received her education at Leverton School.

On January 27, 1944, she was united in marriage to August Kolthoff at the Christian Reformed Church in Wellsburg.

Mae was employed for eight years at the Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls.

She loved to share her garden produce and her flowers with her neighbors and friends.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; daughter; son, Arthur; five brothers, George, Willie, Andrew, Harm and Gust, and four sisters, Sadie, Helen, Carrie and Minnie.

She is survived by her husband, August; a sister, Tena Miller of Wellsburg; a sister-in-law, June Sanders of Aplington; and one brother-in-law, Walter Harms of Cleves.

The Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home in Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.
