Mrs. Boelman Rites Held On Wednesday

Mrs. Joe Boelman, 73, of Ackley, died early Monday, May 14, at her home of an apparent heart attack.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Siebe H. Meyer and was born at Wellsburg. She was a member of the 1936 graduating class of Wellsburg High School. She was married to Joe Boelman. She was employed for a number of years at Infant Seat in Eldora and at various other places.

Survivors are her husband, also a daughter, Joann Wolf of Tampa, FL, and a son, Michael Boelman of Las Vegas, NV. Other survivors include five sisters: Mrs. Gertie DeNeui, Mrs. Minnie Taffinder and Donna Meyer of Wellsburg; Mrs. Eva Widman of Mesa, AZ; and Mrs. Clareen Baehr of Bella Vista, AR. Also three brothers: Clarence Meyer of Cedar Falls; Edward Meyer of Washington, MO; and Harley Meyer of Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 16, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ northwest of Wellsburg. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Last Rites For Mrs. Joe Boelman Are Held Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Joe (Freda) Boelman, 73, of Ackley who died Monday, May 14, were held Wednesday, May 16, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ. Pastor Ron Fisher was officiating clergyman.

Richard Schafer was vocalist. Organist was Mrs. Marilyn Ubben, who played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude.

Casket bearers were Marlyn DeBoer, Lynn Boelman, Leo DeVries, Henry Feikes, David Abbas and Robert Baehr.

Ushers were Leroy Kruse and Allen Spieker.

Interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Boelman was born June 28, 1916 to Mr. and Mrs. Siebe H. Meyer at Wellsburg. She was a graduate of Wellsburg High School with the class of 1936. She was married to Joe Boelman on January 1, 1940. For a number of years she was employed at Infant Seat at Eldora.

Survivors are her husband, a daughter Joann Wolf of Tampa, FL, a grandson Michael Wolf of Las Vegas, NV. Also five sisters: Mrs. Gertie DeNeui, Mrs. Minnie Taffinder, and Donna Meyer of Wellsburg; Mrs. Eva Widmann of Mesa, AZ and Mrs. Clareen Baehr of Bella Vista, AR. Three brothers: Clarence of Cedar Falls, Edward of Washington, MO, and Harley of Phoenix, AZ.

The deceased was preceded in death by a sister Clara, 10 years old, in 1913 and her parents.
