H. Wesemann Services Held

Henry (Hank) Wesemann, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 12, at his home in Grundy Center.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Rev. Calvin Vanderwerf officiated the service.

Mr. Wayne Arends sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." He was accompanied by Mrs. Dorothea Appel, who also played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude.

Casket bearers were Larry Everts, Dale Everts, Terry Schroeder, Simon Zeller, Brad Bowker and Dennis Weseman.

Ed Flater and Robert Wolthoff were ushers. Marilee Henze was in charge of the floral arrangements.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center.

Henry Wesemann, son of Simon and Etje Saathoff Wesemann, was born August 12, 1913, in Herman, MN, where he grew up and was educated.

On December 15, 1943, Hank was united in marriage to Grace Everts in Herman, MN. After their marriage, Hank and Grace lived in Grundy county, moving to Grundy Center in 1948.

Hank worked at various jobs, including construction and masonry. He retired in 1978. He was associated with Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Claus, John, Evertt, Aeilt, George and Harm; and two sisters, Martha Tefft and Jessie Watson; and one nephew.

He is survived by his wife Grace of Grundy Center; one brother Annaus, of Herman, MN; two sisters, Grace Zeller, Morris, MN, and Jennie Forcier, Ajo, AZ; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center was in charge of the arrangements.
