A. S. Cowie Died; Same Farm 88 Yrs.

Albert S. Cowie died Wednesday morning at his home in Colfax township, west of Holland. He was 88 years old. Death was due to advanced age and complications.

Was Born On Farm Where He Died
Mr. Cowie was born March 14, 1877, on the same farm where he spent his entire lifetime and where he died. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cowie, among the early residents of the county.

Albert Cowie was married Jan. 20, 1915, to Grace Jarvis at Belvidere, Illinois. They came to the Cowie farm home following their marriage.

The body was taken to the Ferree Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending. Surviving is the wife. Preceding him in death were two brothers and two sisters.

Bert Cowie Services Were March 4

Funeral services for A. S. (Bert) Cowie, who passed away March 2, were held March 4 at 2 p.m. at the Ferree funeral home.

Rev. Harold Sparks of the Methodist church conducted the service. He was a lifelong member of this church.

Several were here from Illinois for the service.

Mr. Cowie was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Cowie, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, one passing away in infancy. He is survived by his wife, Grace, 2 nieces, several nephews, and one cousin.
