Hadley Sandlin Is Buried At Beaman

Hadley Sandlin, 91, died Wednesday about 6 p.m. at the Countryside Nursing Home in Grundy Center.

He had been living there about three years.

He was born Oct. 31, 1874, at Milford, Mo., a son of William and Lucretia Sandlin. He was reared in Missouri. He married Sally Vint on Sept. 19, 1900, at Lamar, Mo.

They came to Beaman in 1907 where they operated a farm. Mrs. Sandlin died Oct. 24 of this year.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles.

Survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs. Pauline Boss of Norwalk, one brother Emery of Lewistown, Ill.

Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Beaman Methodist church. Rev. Robert Winter pastor, officiated with burial in Oakland cemetery.

Organ selections were played by Leonard Klinefelter. Casket bearers were Floyd and Don Ashton, Loren Link, Ron Kaufmann, George McTurk and Glenn Stephenson. Flower bearers were Mrs. George McTurk and Mrs. Reid Simms.
