Emma J. Morrison Funeral Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Morrison were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Conrad Methodist church, with Rev. R. O. Grote officiating. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
Special music for the service was provided by organist Miss Evelyn Stevens. Casket bearers were Jerry Friday, Howard Cuffel, Ward Walter, Ray Crouse, Jerry Miller and Eldon Ohrt. Flower attendants were Marion Jacobs and Irene Middleton.
Emma Johnson was born to Jane and John Johnson in the vicinity of Liscomb, Marshall Co., May 26, 1883, and passed away November 29, at Evangelical hospital in Marshalltown, where she had been a patient the past four weeks.
She was married to Ben Morrison, February 17, 1904, and lived in the Liscomb and Conrad community all her life. Mr. Morrison passed away in November 1932, since which time she has resided in Conrad.
Immediate survivors are two daughters, Ruby and Aliene, Mrs. John Gates, of Conrad; two sons, Hubert of Sioux City, and Keith of Albany, Georgia, two granddaughters, Linda Connelly and Nancy Gates, also two great-grandsons, Christopher and Bradley Miller.
Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Conrad Methodist church, a good wife and mother, a kindly person to have as a friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
