Mrs. Beck Funeral Service At Fredsville

Funeral services were held this past Tuesday afternoon at the Fredsville Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery for Mrs. Christina J. Beck, 91, former area resident.

Mrs. Beck passed away Friday afternoon of a heart attack at the Booron Nursing Home in Cedar Falls where she had been a patient for about four years.

She was born Aug. 27, 1874 in Denmark. She came to the United States in 1891.

Mrs. Beck who is a distant relative of N. C. Syndergaard and the Thuesen families lived on farms in the Fredsville area until moving to Cedar Falls about 25 years ago.

She is survived by six daughters, two sons, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters and three husbands.
