Funeral Services for Clarence Johnson

Funeral services for Clarence Johnson, 67, were to be held at the Fredsville Lutheran Church yesterday, Wednesday, Sept. 8. Mr. Johnson died at his home northeast of Dike Sunday afternoon after an illness of several months.

He was born at Fredsville on March 17, 1898, the son of Ole and Johanne Johnson. He married Helene Andersen on Aug. 30, 1927. He had farmed near Fredsville all his life. He was a member of the Fredsville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow, a daughter, Mrs. James (Lorraine) Johnson of Cedar Falls; two sons, Raymond of Rt. 4, Cedar Falls and Vernon of Santa Clara, Calif.; four brothers, Ole of Tempe, Ariz., George of Ringsted, Harry and Arthur of Cedar Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Peter Thuesen of Plentywood, Mont., Mrs. Peter Petersen and Mrs. Ingeman Pedersen, both of Minneapolis, Mrs. Carrie Christensen of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Lillian Moody of Waterloo; also seven grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.

Pastor Joseph Sibert of the Fredsville Lutheran Church officiated at the services. The Dahl Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, was in charge. Burial was to be in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund for the benefit of the Fredsville Lutheran Church has been established.
