John W. Jans Dies From Heart Attack

John W. Jans died suddenly at his home in Reinbeck Friday following a heart attack. He was at his home when he was stricken in the early morning.

Services were held in the Methodist church in Reinbeck Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery. The French funeral home made arrangements for the service.

He was 78 years of age. Mr. Jans was a brother-in-law of Henry Appel who passed away the previous day.

Surviving are the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Viola Lauterbach, Waterloo and Mrs. Marlys Pogemiller, Charles City; three sons, Burdette, Cedar Falls, Vernon, of Harlan and Kenneth, Evergreen, La.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Flickinger, Hope, No. Dak.
