H. N. Andreessen Died Suddenly Tues. Morning

Leading Citizen Of Stout And Community Passed Away Unexpectedly From Heart Failure.

Henry N. Andreessen, widely known and one of the leading citizens of northeast Grundy, died at his home in Stout at five o'clock Tuesday morning from heart failure. He was stricken while he was in his bed and died before his wife, who was with him, could summon help. Mr. Andreessen was taken sick the evening before and a doctor was called to attend him. The doctor didn't regard his condition as serious.

News of Mr. Andreessen's sudden death came as a shock to the community in which he was so well known and of which he had been an active part for many years.

Funeral services will be held at the church in Stout Friday afternoon. The services will be conducted by the local pastor, Rev. Heyenga. Burial will be in the cemetery at Stout.

Mr. Andreessen was 75 years old. His birthday anniversary was observed at a small family gathering but a week ago at which time he seemed to be in perfect health. He was born in the Netherlands, and was married there. He came to this country with his family 40 years ago. They began farming on a farm a short distance south of Stout and with good management and hard work the family prospered. About 18 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Andreessen left the farm and moved to Stout where they have been living in comfortable retirement ever since.

Surviving relatives are the wife, four sons and four daughters. The daughters are Mrs. Fred Eiklenberg, Mrs. Chas. Juel, Mrs. A. Arends and Mrs. Glenn Ellinger, all residing in Stout and vicinity. The sons are Dan, Henry, Will and Herman. Henry resides at Clarksville. The other sons live in or near Stout.
