Guy Smith passed away at his home east of town about 10:30 Friday evening. He suffered a stroke several days previous. He had been in failing health a number of years. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Arnold of Marshalltown and William at home. Mr. Smith was born on the old home place, east of Conrad, where the Jake Galloway family now live. He spent most of his boyhood days in Conrad and vicinity. After he was married he lived in Sioux City. Since the death of his sister, Mrs. Will Johnson, he has lived in Conrad. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon, and burial in the Conrad Cemetery.
